My friend just started playing World of Warcraft. Because he has not been playing as long as me, he has very little gold in the game.
And he has been getting those spam messages in-game from places like gmworker, peons4hire, and others.
Now he is thinking of buying some gold from their farming services.
I told him that Blizzard doesn’t like them that much. But I couldn’t tell him all the dangers because well, I don’t know them.
Isn’t it possible for him to have his account deleted if he buys gold from them?
and I have told him that there is better, safer ways to make gold.
like mining or blacksmithing and whatnot.
(I’m a miner myself).
he’s a noob.
Yes if he is caught he can get his account banned from the game. That means not just his character but ALL of his characters. Also most of those services are basically scammers anyways, if he does buy he will most likely just get his money and credit card information stolen. Gold is very easy to make in the game, tell your friend to pick up two gathering type professions and just sell everything he picks up.
Yes. It is in the terms of use that you are not allowed to buy, sell, trade warcraft items outside of the game. Its not likely that he will get caught, but it is stupid to waste $100 on 1000 fake gold.
He could get a short suspension from the game but i do not believe they would delete any of his characters for purchasing gold. They only permanently ban accounts for hacking, exploiting and excessive rule breaking. I also wouldn’t recommend using any of the gold sights that get spammed in game.
It is a high possibility for Blizzard to delete his account if caught. I did it from wowmine.com and blizard didnt notice, but that was only 50 gold so I dont think they cared. I wouldnt suggest doing it too much if he dosent want his account deleted. Mine hasnt yet neither has my friends. A quick legal way to get gold is alchemy or enchantment.
