As a hunter, Skinning and Leatherworking would be good.
However:
The best thing to would be to take two gathering professions until level 40,t hen later pick up a crafting profession., This is because you can sell what you gather on the auction house and make a lot of money.
I would recommend that you take Mining and Skinning until you are level 80. Level them to the max level and sell everything you get on the auction house. You can download Auctioneer to check the prices. Once you have a lot of money, you have a couple choices. If you need some better gear, drop mining for leatherworking and use skinning to get yourself mats and level it up to max. You can make some good things for hunters with leatherworking. Or if you are getting gear from raids, You could keep the two gathering proffesion and get a load of money so that you can buy whatever you need. It depends if you want to make lots of money or make yourself gear.
shoot with your bow and arrow
well it’s been some time since i last played the game but..
jewelcrafting was always a good money maker, i bet it stayed that way.
so if your aim is to make money primarily then go for jewelcrafting, mining.
if you want to be able to craft some gear for your character and you’re ok with not making money then go for let’s say Leatherworking (for mail armor) and either skinning (for grinding your LWing reagents) or 1 other gathering profession for extra gold like mining, herbalism etc.
good luck, have fun ^^
I always level to 80 with two of the following: mining, herbalism, skinning. Store the needed amount of materials for leveling a more useful profession when you hit 80 (profession leveling guides often provide the list of needed materials so you can see at a glance what you will need to stockpile) and then AH the unneeded materials for money. At 80, I recommend leatherworking for gear and Jewelcrafting for a money maker.
my hunter learned two gathering professions skinning and mining, and earned a lot of gold from it
you could learn skinning and leather working as well
